Wooden Doors to Insulate your Home

With increasing concern on energy costs and with environmental factors never more prescient, internal doors have become an important pivot point in the war on climate change, whilst also vitally important in the more immediate war on our fuel bills.

With government backed loft insulation schemes as an important tool in the fight against energy loss, it is important that we don’t overlook energy loss elsewhere in the home. Windows and the openings of internal doors are like holes in the wall, and account for 10 to 25% of fuel bills. Therefore it has never been more important that your wooden doors are built from the most insulating materials and are exactly measured to fit the door frame.

If your doors are old or badly made there is a good chance that it will not fit perfectly in to the doorframe, luckily Kaybee Doors offer a wide variety of internal doors that are built to exacting standards and to fit neatly into any doorframe.

If, for example, you live in an old house with strange doorframes, then there is a chance that your doors will not fit perfectly in the door-space. If this is the case then it is often a good idea to make alterations to the doorframe rather than the internal door itself. If this isn’t viable, however, doors can be fairly easily sanded. Better yet you could opt for a high quality brand-new door from Kaybee Doors that has been accurately measured to fit any standard sized door.
